Solution

Electric fuse

  1. A fuse is a safety device that prevents any type of short circuit due to high voltage and high electric flow through a circuit.
  2. A fuse is a thin wire of high resistance and low melting point. The fuse is designed in such a way that it will protect our domestic electric appliances from any kind of short circuit.
  3. If the voltage increases more than normal (which is dangerous), then the fuse will melt and break the electric circuit (due to its low melting point), for this, our domestic electric appliances will be saved from any accident (high current flow)

Normal wire as an electric fuse

  1. According to the question, the electrician wanted to replace the fuse with a normal piece of wire, which is very dangerous.
  2. All normal wire has a high melting point, that's why at the time of high voltage or high current flow this wire does not break the main circuit. So, there would be a big accident.

I disagree to use a normal piece of wire as a fuse.
