Electric Switch:

1. Electric switch is a device which is used to connect the circuit or break it.
2. When the switch is connected, is known as Switch ON, and when it’s not in contact (or open) with the circuit, the switch is known as OFF.​​​​​​
3. Some of the devices which use electric switch: Electric Bulb, Electric heater, fan, refrigerator, television, microwave oven, electric cookers etc.

Electricians used to wear rubber insulated gloves which prevents him against electric shocks:

1. In case of electric shock from electricity, wearing gloves while working with electricity is helpful as rubber is also a bad conductor of electricity, so electric current does not pass easily through it.
2. Rubber gloves will prevent contact of electricity and skin.
3. It will break the path of electricity in human body and electricity will be disconnected or restricted.
4. So, it will save electrician from the electric shock.
