Given that
B=B0 (^j); E=E0 ^j;

electron is moving in +ve ydirection,

v=v0 ^j

Here, B||v, so magnetic force will be zero.

Fm=qvBsin0=0

And electric force will be

Fe=qE=(e)E0 ^j

ay=eE0m ^j

Since, velocity and acceleration have opposite direction, so electron will pass to point of projection after some time.

Now apply equation of motion in y direction,

y=uyt+12ayt2

Assuming after time t, it will pass through the point of projection. So,

y=0; ay=eE0m; uy=v0

0=v0t+12(eE0m)t2

t=2mv0eE0

Hence, option (c) is correct.
