Solution

The correct option is B

Parabola

  1. We know that an electron is negatively charged and force is always opposite to the direction of the electric field.
  2. So when the force acts along south and opposite to the velocity which means the electron slows down. Hence the trajectory motion of the electron will form a parabola.
  3. If a charged particle moves in the path of an electrical field, then it is accelerated and will circulate in an equal path of the electrical field.
  4. But if a charged particle moves in a path and is now no longer in parallel to an electric-powered field, it moves in a parabolic path.
  5. The Correct Answer is Option B Parabola
