Given, Initial Kinetic Energy KEi=100 eV



In between the parallel plates, the electric field E exists perpendicular to the plates. Thus, horizontal component of velocity of the electron remains the same.

v1cos30=v2cos45

v132=v2×12

3v214=v222

32×12mv21=12mv22

32×KEi=KEf

KEf=1.5×100=150 eV

Potential difference=ΔKEe=(150100) eVe=50 V
