an employee earns 250.5 an hour for the first 40 hours per week and he gets 1.5 times the hourly rate for the hours he worked over 40.how much does an employee who works for 52 hours a week earn

Dear Student,

An employee earns per hour= Rs. 250.5

His total earnings for first 40 hours= Rs. 250.5*40
= Rs. 10020 -------------------(i)

An employee worked for 52 hours and rate over 40 hours is
= Rs. 250.50 *1.5
= Rs. 250.5 + 250.5/2
= Rs. 250.5+125.25
= Rs. 375.75

So, earnings for hours over 40
i.e. 12 hours= Rs. 375.75*12
= Rs. 4509-------------------(ii)

His total earnings for 52 hours = Rs.(10020+4509) -----from (i) and (ii)
= Rs. 14529
