Horizontal component of the velocity will be same but after one second some velocity in y direction is also generated.
Direction of arrow is direction of net velocity at that time.
So at initial time the direction of arrow will be horizontal because no vertical velocity.
After 1 sec direction of arrow will be some where between positive x and negative y. Because velocity have two component horizontal and vertical downward.
So best possible option is option A.
