Given : The tank becomes $\frac{2}{5}$ after 1.5 l of water is poured .

$\Rightarrow$hence the volume of the full tank = $1.5\times 1÷\frac{2}{5}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{7.5}{2}=3.75$ litres

We know the base area of the tank is $250$ $c{m}^2$

$\Rightarrow$Volume = Height(H) $\times$Area

$\Rightarrow H=\frac{3.75l}{250c{m}^2}$ 1 l = 1000 $c{m}^3$

$\Rightarrow H=\frac{3.75\times 1000}{250cm}$

$\Rightarrow H=\frac{375}{25}$

$\Rightarrow H=15$ cm

The value of the height is $15$ cm
