1 kWh is defined as the electrical energy equivalent to the power consumption for 1 hour.
So, 1 kWh = 1000 W × 3600 s = 3600000 J = 3600 KJ. (As 1 hour = 3600 seconds)
Given, the cost of 1kWh( = 3600KJ) is 2.5 rupees.
So, the cost of 1 KJ is 2.53600 rupees.
Total cost of the consumed electricity = 2.5×7203600 = 0.5 rupees.
