The correct option is A 4

Given,
Area of the floor = 4 m x 4 m = 16 $m^{2}$

The tile can be reframed as a square having dimension 2 m x 2m
$∴$ The area of the tile (square)
= 2 m x 2 m
= 4 $m^{2}$

Number of tiles needed to renovate the floor
= $\frac{16}{4}$ $m^{2}$
= 4
$∴$ The number of tiles needed would be 4.
