Question

An equiangular PQR is ___________ to a LMN in which one angle is 70. (Similar/ Not similar)

Open in App
Solution

Determine if the given triangles are similar or not similar.

We know that two polygons are similar if,

  1. Their corresponding angles are equal.
  2. Their corresponding sides are in proportion.

Since PQR is equiangular, all the internal angles are similar and are 60, but in LMN, one of the angle is given as 70.

Therefore, condition (a) fails and thus, the given triangles are not similar.
