An ice block of volume 4π/3cm^3 is placed in an artificial satellite. When ice melts into water, then its surface area will be, if densities of ice and water are assumed to be same.

Because of surface tension, surface area of liquid will be minimum. for given volume surface area is minimum for a sphere.
volume =4pi/3,
therefore radius= 1cm,
area= area of sphere of radius 1cm = 4pi cm^2
