An ice cube floats on the surface of a glass of water (density of ice $=0.9g/{cm}^3$). When the ice melts will the water level in the glass rise?

Since density of ice is less than water hence when it melts the level of water will fall as net mass is fixed & density increases which will result in decrease in volume.
