  1. Icebergs being lighter than water, float on water with a major part of their surfaces laying under the water surface and only a small part lying outside water.
  2. The density of ice is less than the density of water.
  3. If the whole iceberg goes underwater then the upthrust will increase which will try to push it out and it comes upward till the upthrust is balanced by its actual weight.

Hence, an iceberg floats with 1112 of its volume below water.
