The correct option is C 12.5 m/s
We have from the continuity equation,

vAAA=vBAB+vCAC ......(1)

Where v represents the velocity and A represents the area of cross section.



Given: vA=10 m/s, AA=0.2 m2, AB=0.1 m2, vC=15 m/s, AC=0.05 m2

Putting these values in equation (1)

10×0.2=(vB×0.1)+(15×0.05)

2=vB×0.1+0.75

vB=20.750.1=1.250.1

vB=12.5 ms1
