The correct option is D $$6ms^{-1}$$
From the equation of continuity,
$$\sum A_{1}V_{1}=0$$
$$\Rightarrow 2A\times 4=\dfrac{A}{2}\times 4+AV$$
$$\Rightarrow 8-2=V$$
$$\Rightarrow v=6m/s$$
