Then, W = 2πf = 2π×50
(a) Impedance of such circuit is,
Z = √R2+X2L = √R2+(Lw)2
⇒Z =√(50)2+(100×10−3×2π×50)2 =59.04 Ω
(b) Effective current,
i = VZ
= 230 V59.04 Ω = 3.89 A
(c) Phase angle (θ)
cos (θ) = RZ = 5059.04 = 0.84
