An insect is trying to climb on a high finishing smooth wall. Because of the high finishing of the wall, the insect slips down sometimes. The target of the insect is11cm high in the wall from its initial position. If we denote his motion upside by a positive integer and downside by a negative integer, answer the following:

(i) If it crawls 8cm upside but slips down by making the 3cm in each of its moves, what is the position of the insect after two such moves.

Target =11cmhighinwall

Insects crawl 8cm upside but slip down by making the 3cm in each of their moves

So, the position of the insect after two such moves is +8-3+8-3=10cm

Hence the position of the insect is 10cm
