(i) Let E, = Event M‘ choosing an integer which is
divisible by 7
{7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56,
63, 70, 77, 84, 91, 98}
Total number of favourable events = 14
Hence, required probability, P(E₁) = 14 / 99

(ii) Let E₂ = Event of choosing an integer which is not
divisible by 7
Then, total number of favourable outcomes,
n(E₂) = n(S) - n(E₁) = 99 - 14 = 85
∴ Required probability, P(E₂) = 85 / 99
