Iron sinks in water and floats in mercury.
Density of Iron - 7.6g/cm3
Density of Water - 1g/cm3
Density of Mercury - 13.7g/cm3

A cork is heavier than needle but when a needle is placed in water it sinks but whereas a cork dosen't sink why? As the needle is lighter it should be also floating right.
