Initial diameter of tyre = ( 1000 - 6 ) mm = 994

mm. so initial radius of tyre R = 9942=497mm

and change in diameter D=6mm so

R=62=3mm

After increasing temperature by θ tyre will fit onto wheel

Increment in the lenght ( circumference ) of the iron tyre

L=L×α×θ=L×γ3×θ [ As α=γ3]

2πR=2πR(γ3)θθ=3γRR=3×33.6×105×497

θ=500C
