Initial diameter of tyre = 1000-6=994 mm.
R=9942=497 mm.
ΔR=ΔD2=62=3 mm.
After increasing temperature by ΔT, tyre will fit by increment in its length (circumference)
ΔL=LαΔT=2πΔR
ΔT= 2πΔRLα
Since, L = 2πR
ΔT=2πΔR(2πR)α=ΔRRα
As, α=γ3=3.6×1053=1.2×105 (since iron is isotropic)
ΔT=3497×(1.2×105)=500 °C (approx)
