We know that when a loop of any shape is kept in the region of magnetic field such that the magnetic field lines are perpendicular to the plane of loop, then net force acting on the loop due to magnetic field is zero i.e. each segment of the loop experience a force in such a way so as to cancel out the effect due to each other.
Thus when an irregular loop is placed in that field, each part of the loop will experience a force outwards such that net resultant force is zero but due to outward force, the loop gets converted into circular shaped.
