An object has moved through a distance.can it have zero displacement ? If yes, support your answer with an example.

If initial and final positions are same then displacement is zero.

For example, Let the your school at a distance of 2 Km from your home.
then

in the morning when you are going to school, distance is 2Km
in the evening , again 2 Km.


so total distance = 2+ 2 = 4 Km

but in this case, you started from home and ended your journey at home..
so initial and final positions are same.

therefore

displacement = 0
