In the question it is given that
$u = - 20 c m$ ; $f = 10 c m$ ; $v = ?$
As we know,
$\frac{1}{v} - \frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f}$ ......... (1)
$\Rightarrow \frac{1}{v} = \frac{2 - 1}{20}$
$\Rightarrow v = + 20 c m$
