An object is placed at a distance of 10 cm from a concave mirror of focal length 20 cm

. (a) Draw a ray diagram for the formation of image.

(b) Calculate the image distance.

(c) State two characteristics of the image formed.

the mirror formula is given as

1f=1u+1v

here

f = focal length = -20cm

v = image distance

object distance ,u= -10cm

so, 120=1v+110

1v=120+110

1v=1+220=120

v=20cm
