Step 2: Finding the image distance using the mirror formula:

We know that

1u+1v=1f1v=1f-1uBysubstitutingthegivenvalues,weget1v=1-10-1-20=-110+120=-2+120=-120Therefore,v=-20cm

The distance of the image formed is -20cm and the nature of the image is ‘Virtual’.
