An object is placed in front of a convex mirror. The image of the object formed by convex mirror is at a distance 40 cm from the object. A plane mirror, with its reflecting face facing the object is introduced in between object and the mirrors at 5 cm from convex mirror. If image formed by both mirrors coincide, find the focal length of convex mirrors

let the distance of object from the convex lens is u and of image is 40 -uand focal length fthen by lens formula 140-u+1u=1f------1according to question u-5=40-u+5-------2from here u=25cmput in equation 1we get f=9.375cm
