The correct option is D x2+y2=2a2

Since the mirrors are at right angles (θ=90) to each other,

Since 360θ=36090=4 (even number)

Number of images =360θ1=3

All the images and the object are concyclic. The radius of the circle will be CO=2a and the centre lies at origin O.

Equation for the locus (circle) is given by,

(x0)2+(y0)2=2a2

x2+y2=2a2
