Given that
u=30 cm; f=20 cm; Vo=2 cm/s
where Vo speed of object

By using mirror formula,
1v+1u=1f

1v=1f1u=120130

v=60 cm

Magnification of the mirror is
m=vu=(60)30
m=2

Velocity of image perpendicular to principal axis
=m×Vo
=2×2=4 cm/s
Negative sign indicates velocity in downward direction i.e below the principal axis.
