The correct option is B 4 cm

Shift produced in the position of the object-

s=(1μmediumμslab)×t

Here,

μmedium is the refractive index of the surrounding medium

μslab is the refractive index of the slab material

t is the thickness of the slab

We put all the values and get-

s=(1(4/3)(3/2))×36 cm

s=(189)×36 cm

s=(19)×36 cm

s=4 cm

So, option (B) Is correct.
