Size of object ho=5cm

Size of the image hi=?

Focal length, f=10cm

Object distance u=60cm

Image distance v=?

Using mirror formula,

1f=1v+1u

110=1v+160

1v=6+160

v=12cm

Hence, the position of the object is at 12 cm in front of the mirror.

Magnification (M)=hiho=vu=1260=0.2

hi=0.2×ho

hi=0.2×5=1cm

Height of inverted image is 1cm.
