We have u = -8.0 cm, and f = +12 cm

Using $\frac{1}{v} - \frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f}$ ,

$\frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{12 c m} + \frac{1}{- 8.0 c m}$

or, $v = - 24 c m$ ,

Thus, $m = \frac{v}{u} = \frac{- 24 c m}{- 8.0 c m} = 3$

Thus, $h_{2} = 3 h_{1} = 3 \times 2.0 c m = 6.0 c m$ .
