Given, the mass of the object, m = 150 g=1501000=0.15 kg
Let the initial speed at which the object moves be u = 30 m s1
Let the final speed of the object be v = 0 (since the object is brought at rest)
We know that, Initial momentum = m×u=0.15×30=4.5 kg m s1
Final momentum of the object = m×v=0.15×0=0
Change in momentum is given by:
Final momentum- Initial momentum
=04.5=4.5 kg m s1
Therefore, change in momentum of the object is 4.5 kg m s1.
