Given, u=-27cm, f=+15cm
to be find out, v=?,
Using mirror formula
1/v = 1/f - 1/u
1/v = (1/15) - (1/-27)
1/v =14/135
V=135/14 = 9.64cm
(since v is +ve)
behind the mirror.
So, the nature of the image is Virtual.
height of object = ho = 7cm (given)
m = hi / ho = -v/u
m = -v/u = -9.64 / -27 = .357
therefore,
hi = m x ho = .357 x 7 = 2.499 cm.
size of image = 2.499 cm.
size of image is diminished.
