Weight of the object, W=3×105 N
Volume of the object, V=60 m3
g=10 ms2
Mass of the object =Wg=(3×105N)(10 ms2)=3×104 kg
Density of the object,
D=(mass of the object)(volume of the object)
D=(3×104kg)(60 m3)=500 kg m3
Now, relative density of the object,
Dr=(Density of the object)(Density of water)
Dr=5001000
Dr=0.5
Since, the relative density of the object is less than water, it will float on water. Hence, statements (ii) and (iii) are correct.
