Question

An object projected upwards with a velocity of 100 m/s it will strike the ground after.

Open in App
Solution

⇒ u = 100 m/s
⇒ v = 0 m/s
⇒ g = - 10 m/s²

we should find the approximate time taken to reach the ground
so , we know that ,

v = u - gt

implies ,

t = v - u / -g

t = 0 - 100 / - 10

t = 10 seconds .

therefore the approximate time taken to reach the ground is 10 s + 10s = 20s seconds.
