The correct option is A

2 ms1


Given, acceleration a=4 ms2, initial velocity u=0 ms1 and distance s=12 m.

Let the final velocity be v.

We use the third equation of motion v2=u2+2as

So, v2=02+2×4×12

On solving we get v=2 ms1.

Therefore, its velocity at the end of half a metre is 2 ms1.
