Solution

Given: Length =3 m

Breadth =2 m

and, Height =1 m 50 cm=1.5 m

We don't have to paint top of tank as it is an open tank.

Area of the tank (Cuboidal in shape) to be painted =lb+2bh+2lh

=(3×2)+(2×2×1.5)+(2×3×1.5) mm2

=6+6+9=21 m2

If 20 m2 requires 1 kg paint.

then 1 m2 will require 120 kg paint.

So, 21 m2 will require 120×21=2021 kg=1.05 kg paint
