Volume of cylinder $=616$litres $=616\times {10}^{-3}{m}^3$ [$\because 1$ litre $={10}^{-3}{m}^3$]

$=0.616m^3$

We know that: Volume of cylinder $=\pi r^{2}h$

or, $0.616=\frac{22}{7}\times 2.8\times 2.8\times h$

or, $0.616\times \frac{7}{22}\times \frac{10}{28}\times \frac{10}{28}=h$

or, $h=0.025m=2.5cm$ [$\because 1m=100cm$]

Therefore, the height of the tank $=2.5cm$
