An unknown indicator turns green in sodium chloride solution.Also tell what colour does it show in an acidic solution.

A universal indicator gives green color at neutral pH and becomes yellow in slightly acidic medium and red in strong acid.
Universal indicator is the mixture of indicators which is used to make pH paper.
