An unknown metal x when placed in copper sulphate solutions give a red brown precipitate. When placed in magnesium sulphate solutions, give no reaction. Identify element x?

X+CuSO4===>Red brown precipitate
X+MgSO4===>No reaction
Iron reacts with copper sulphate solution to produce iron sulphate which is a reddish brown precipitate. Iron also does not react with Magnesium sulphate. So the given metal X is Iron (Fe).
