After passing form through first Nicol prism the intensity will be reduce by 50%

I=I02

Then it will pass from the second Nicol prism and which makes an angle 60with the first one.

According to Malus law,

I=I0cos2θ=I0cos2(60) [ I0=I]

I=I02×(12)2=I08
