The graphical representation of a generator is shown above.From above graph we infer that if the emf remains constant with increasing time of a battery then obviously the generator is only working in a positive cycle.Here E=kϕ, and when emf E is constant then flux ϕ will also remain constant as they are directly proportional. Hence emf is induced during positive cycle only. There will be no negative cycle as the generator is D.C. generator so it will make the negative output as positive output and hence the output signal is continuous and positive.
