If the amount of O-atoms =100

then, the amount of Ni-atoms =98

Let Ni2+=x, then Ni3+=98x

Total charge on 100,O2 ions =200

Total charge on Ni2+ and Ni3+=2x+3(98x)

For neutrality, 2x+3(98x)=200
or, x=94.

% of Ni2+=9498×100=96%

and % of Ni3+=10096=4%.
