So, present Age of Anil's father $=3x$

Now, $5$ years later

Age of Anil $=x+5$.

Age of Anil's father $=3x+5$

From the question

$3x+5=2\frac{1}{2}\left(x+5\right)$

$\Rightarrow 3x+5=\frac{5}{2}\left(x+5\right)$

$\Rightarrow 2\left(3x+5\right)=5\left(x+5\right)$

$\Rightarrow 6x+10=5x+25$

$\Rightarrow 6x-5x=25-10$

$\therefore x=15$

Hence

Present Age of Anil $x=15$ years

present Age of Anil's father $=3x=45$ years.
