Anima has two test tubes, one contains a solution of HCl and the other one has a solution of NaOH. Then –
a) i) Which solution has lesser concentration of
H+?
ii) Which solution will turn blue litmus red?
b) What happens when both the solution are mixed? Write a balanced equation of the reaction.

a)

i) NaOH is a base and HCl is acid so NaOH must have lesser concentration of H+.

ii) HCl is an acid so it will turn blue litmus red.

b) NaOH is a base and HCl is an acid, so neutralization reaction will occur when they are mixed.

NaOH(aq)+HCl(aq)>NaCl(aq)+H2O(l)
