Solution
The correct option is A ₹45000 Let the amount invested in scheme A be ₹x and that in scheme B be ₹y. x + y = ₹50000 ..........(i) × 5 5x100+7y100 = ₹3400 ⇒ 5x + 7y = ₹340000 ........(ii) Solving (i) and (ii) we get : 5x + 5y = ₹250000 5x + 7y = ₹340000 ----------------------- 2y = ₹90000 y = ₹45000 So, Amount invested in scheme B = y = ₹45000
