Method I:

For minimum annual inventory cost,

Ordering cost = Holding cost

7000 × number of order = holding cost or Holding cost

7000×5000010000=Rs.35000

Method II:

Given: EOQ, Q* = 10000 units, D = 50000 units

co=Rs.7000/order

As we know,

Q=2DCoCh

10000=2×50000×7000Ch

Ch=Rs.7/unit/year

Annual carrying cost =Q2×Ch

=100002×7=Rs. 35000
