(1) During emergency conditions (e.g. Lung failure) lungs don't work properly, artificial respiration is required.
(2) The person gets the oxygen through ventilators which act as artificial lungs.
(3) The person is kept on artificial respiration temporarily, until the person regains his health and starts breathing naturally.
